Lighthouse Series
This is an ongoing project to shoot all the interesting lighthouses in South Africa.
Each lighthouse has its own story, character, importance and environment. From the lonely weathered giants that stand strong and proud, to the ever popular small lights that are a cheerful scene in everyday lives. Each work is a photo-montage of individual shots taken from various vantage points and then meticulously placed together by hand. The final composition gives a new perspective and representation of the lighthouse. Each of the 10 editions has its own hand made uniqueness.
